Third Street Commons, formerly the Budget Inn, was purchased in 2019 to provide shelter and supportive housing to people experiencing homelessness in our community. In partnership with Unity Shelter, we have been operating in this capacity since the spring of 2021. We will be constructing new permanent supportive housing for people who have experienced homelessness and service offices at the site in 2024.We held a community design charette last spring, incorporated the feedback we heard, and are ready to give an update about the project design and operational plan of the project.
